Friday Light at AEI – Everyone Needs to Have a Bit of Fun on Friday

Happy Friday everyone! As you may know, AEI Corporation is headquartered in beautiful, blink your eyes and the weather changes, Colorado.  While we work throughout the United States as well as internationally, we do love our home state.

We all have our own perspective on what makes Colorado special, but we’ll let you be the judge. Here is a You Tube video with some great visuals (and some semi-sappy narration), as well as a few interesting facts about the State.

*Colorado has the highest average elevation of any state.  That altitude is 6,800 feet.  The highest point in Colorado is Mt. Elbert at 14,433 feet.

*Denver has the largest city park system in the nation.  There are an amazing 20,000 acres of parkland in Denver and the surrounding area.

*With 180 craft breweries and 40 craft distilleries, Colorado has more craft breweries per capita than any other state.

*The Dwight Eisenhower Memorial Tunnel between Clear Creek & Summit counties is the highest auto tunnel in the world.  Bored at an elevation of 11,000 feet under the Continental Divide, it is 8,960 feet long.

*The world’s largest natural hot springs pool is located in Glenwood Springs. The two-block long pool is across the street from the historic Hotel Colorado, a favorite stop of former president Teddy Roosevelt.

*The highest suspension bridge in the world is over the Royal Gorge near Canon City.  The Royal Gorge Bridge spans the Arkansas River at a height of 1,053 feet.

Wishing you all a wonderful Friday and weekend.  Catch up with us with us next week at the AdvancedIntel blog.
