AEI will be hosting a seminar titled, “Know Your Fire Sprinkler System and Legal Aspects of a Loss.” This seminar will cover the basic knowledge required in order to successfully conduct an investigation involving frozen fire sprinkler piping.
Some of the topics discussed will include a general background of fire sprinkler systems, responsible parties, applicable codes, and protection of pipe and components from freezing. The seminar will also address the evidence and information used when evaluating and examining a building, sprinkler systems, and components. Actual cases will supplement the materials by giving real examples of cases worked in the past. The impact of NFPA 13, 13D, 13R, and 25 and their relevance to frozen fire sprinkler system piping and component investigations will also be addressed, as will new antifreeze fire sprinkler system requirements.
